Power Athletes

Much has been said and written about peak athletic performance, yet few are able to perform consistently at the level they wish. They have their days when they are “on” and their days when they are “off.”

Instinctively, athletes know the answer lays in the “mind,” but don’t have the precision answers needed to control the power that determines whether they are going to be “on” or “off.”

We at Ability Consultants, Inc., have addressed this issue successfully for more than four decades; indeed, the research that led to the development of the techniques and processes of KNOWLEDGISM™ began with the endeavor to enhance athletic performance.

As an example, when athletes are at the top of their form, they speak of being “in the zone,” or of being “focused,” “in command,” or “in control.” When they are not doing well, they speak of losing their “concentration,” or of “not being focused,” or “not in command.”

Few realize that what they are actually speaking of are the natural spiritual abilities to direct their attention, command the presence of their full awareness, and exercise full volition over their well honed skills.

We have long observed, for example, why elite athletes often fail at the critical moment.  I saw it with the golfer Greg Norman.  For me, it was an unforgettable example of how a champion athlete’s thinking and loss of presence can sabotage his power.

It was in the 1986 US Masters Tournament.  This below from wikipedia:

“Norman buried the birdie putt, his fourth straight, to tie for the lead. Norman hit a perfect drive on 18, needing birdie for his first major championship. However, Norman pushed his approach shot into the gallery and missed his 15-foot (4.6 m) par putt. Nicklaus had stormed back, shooting 30 on the back 9, to win his sixth Masters title and became the oldest Masters champion at age 46.”

I actually saw Greg Norman freezing up and resisting what he did not want to have happen on that approach shot . . . and I knew the moment I saw that he would screw it up.

It was a case of creating what he did not want in order to resist it.

At ABILITY CONSULTANTS, INC., we teach athletes proven exercises and processes that put the athlete in command of his or her dynamic presence, in control of his or her domain of attention span, in control of his or her determining of power and the directing of that power across their chosen activity.

It is the key to getting the exact outcomes you intend and want.

Athletes who know these secrets have at their command the ability to stay at the top of their form.

Executive Stress

Stress is a much used but little understood word.

In fact, when used in the context of it being what executives suffer too much of, it is a misnomer; and actually an erroneous concept.

“Stress” is the word typically used to label the circumstance where an individual is suffering from anxiety or other unwanted emotion as a consequence of threats to his or her well-being or survival. The person is said to be “suffering from stress” — but as you will see, it is an erroneous concept.

It is easy to observe that one man’s stressful circumstance is another man’s delight. Take the example of extreme sports: surfing the really big waves, climbing ultra-high sheer rock faces, extreme skiing; these are the epitome of thrill and excitement to some, but freeze others in terror. In circumstances of real threat to life such as in battle or civilian mishap, some remain calm and purposeful while others “lose it,” suffer battle fatigue, or otherwise stress-out. Some folk love audiences; others freak-out at having to address one.

Thus we see it is not the circumstance of a threat to one’s well-being or survival that causes “stress,” but some other agency. It doesn’t matter that the bullets are flying in the heat of battle, or that you are trapped on a two thousand-foot sheer rock face in a sudden storm. These are merely dangerous circumstances, not necessarily stressful.

The factor that changes a dangerous situation into a stressful situation is not the threat to your well-being, but the notion that a bullet has your name on it; or your thought that the sudden freeze will prevent you from getting down off the mountain; or your thought that you will screw-up in front of that audience.

Among sentient beings, it is not the force against you that is stressful, but your own consideration that the threat will defeat you; that you will or may well lose out in this set of circumstances.

It is the even brief consideration that the feared consequence will become reality that induces the condition called stress; the consideration that you cannot, or might not be able to, prevent an unwanted condition from occurring.

This is the factor that inflicts the “stress” — your own considerations of loss, failure, or fear of unwanted events; not the mere fact or threat of a potential circumstance.

People who have the personal certainty they possess the competence level necessary to meet and successfully deal with any challenge or threat to them accomplishing their objectives do not suffer stress. Life is a rather joyous adventure that sometimes issues a challenge. You see this among individuals who are masters of their chosen endeavor, whether they be extreme athletes, students facing exams, or executives. Knowing you can master the situation puts you above stress.

At Ability Consultants, Inc., we have processes you can apply to raise your competence level in any area of activity so you are above the level of stress; and we show you how to proof yourself against it.

How To Learn

Most folk don’t know how to learn.

They manage some of it somehow, sometimes; but don’t know how to actually do it easily, successfully, totally, and every time. The fact that the majority of our universities have to run remedial classes on basic subjects for high school graduates entering college attests to this.

This is a vitally important, much needed subject, as demonstrated by The National Assessment of Adult Literacy conducted by the U.S. Department of Education.

The statistics on this are actually shocking.

An article in The New York Times dated December 16, 2005, reported as follows:

“The average American college graduate’s literacy in English declined significantly over the past decade, according to results of a nationwide test released yesterday.

“The National Assessment of Adult Literacy, given in 2003 by the Department of Education is the nation’s most important test of how well Americans can read.

“When the test was last administered, in 1992, 40 percent of the nation’s college graduates scored at the proficient level, meaning that they were able to read lengthy, complex English texts and draw complicated inferences. But on the 2003 test, only 31 percent of the graduates demonstrated those high-level skills. There were 26.4 million college graduates.

“Of the college graduates tested in 2003, 69 percent failed to demonstrate proficiency, with 53 percent of the total tested scoring at the intermediate level and 14 percent scoring at the basic level, meaning they could only read and understand short, commonplace prose texts.

“Three percent of college graduates who took the test in 2003, representing some 800,000 Americans, demonstrated “below basic” literacy, meaning they could not perform more than the simplest skills, like locating easily identifiable information in short prose.”

These are rather shocking facts when you consider that this is the literacy level of college graduates. Of those not getting to college, the statistics are horrific. One hears of ninety-percent illiteracy rates in some inner-city areas.

Let’s be honest. Have you comprehended everything you’ve attempted to understand? The answer, of course is no — yet it should be yes!

It is however, possible to absolutely, fully, and easily learn everything you need to know on any subject you want to master.

Precise technology is now available on the subject of learning; there is something here that can be known and applied to ensure successful learning — and age is no barrier.

The first thing to know in this regard is that learning is a natural faculty we all have — very young children demonstrate this.

The real question is: what gets in its way?

Ability Consultants, Inc., has delineated “what gets in the way” — we call them the “Barriers to Comprehensions; and knowing what they are, we have developed exact processes any individual can apply to overcome them so he or she can totally learn anything he or she wants to.

This is very precise science. A technology clients instantly see as being workable and correct, and simple. There are half a dozen key points, and a couple of procedures, to learn and apply; and you are then in a position to absolutely learn anything you want to learn at any time under any circumstances. It’s precise. No tricks of “how to remember,” or other “techniques” of how to “program the mind” to overcome the fuzz; but instead the precise truth of what and why your learning has been impaired, and what you can practice in order to be free from these impediments and learn easily.

Communication Skills

COMMUNICATION SKILLS

The Knowing Use Of Recovered & Empowered Natural Faculties & Abilities

Most folk don’t know how to communicate, or what communication is. They mistake style and panache for the true skill and ability of exact and powerful communication; they mistake force and loudness for power.

They think they are “good” communicators, but actually don’t know they don’t know how to really do it.

It is a symptom of a culture hooked on entertainment rather than the exact transfer of knowledge and understanding.

Communication can be stated and defined as: the action of projecting from an originator an envisioned image or concept across a space to a receiver with the intention of affecting at the receipt point an exact sameness (duplication) with full understanding of that which was projected from the originator. It requires presence, directed awareness, intention and purpose, control of the projection, responsibility for reception, and the duplication of the projected image or concept with complete understanding at the receipt point, in order for communication to fully succeed.

There are two action parts to communication — the sending and the receiving. And there are ten fundamental abilities used by a person in the action of sending communication. It is not just a matter of directing your message at some one (no matter how forcefully or stylishly) and expecting them to get it.

Masterful communication is an exact and precise action that requires the knowing use of all the component abilities that comprise the act of communicating:

Dynamic presence
Directed awareness (attention)
Perception
The exercise of volition and choice
Control and management of mood parity (emotional relationship)
The ability to exactly envision the concept to be communicated
The act of intending
The act of creating a projection
Control of the projection
Responsibility for receipt and exact understanding

As in the case of the out-flow action of communication, the receiving inflow action also requires a series of abilities be expertly applied if there is to be success.

Ability Consultants, Inc., employs precise exercise-like processes and drills that increase the power of each innate, individual ability to its proper natural level. Clients who graduate the Ability Consultants, Inc., Communication Mastery Course™ have mastery of these skills and abilities, and communicate with precision and uncommon success.

The Management Process Sequence

There is more to management than “style,” or the fads and fashions of the day, or the cliches of the ancients — there is the sequence of a set of exact abilities applied, which is known as the MANAGEMENT PROCESS SEQUENCE™.

Management, by definition is: “the act, art, or manner of managing, or handling, controlling, directing, etc.” By practice, it is the exact sequence of applied natural abilities which when correctly carried out leads to the fulfillment of the intended and envisioned outcome

Most executives do not know what this sequence of actions is, nor what the abilities are that comprise it. It has been omitted from their training.

Most executives indulge in “management techniques” — and these techniques change as fads and fashions change. None are taught the underlying natural flow of the management process or the component parts of its procedure. Is it any wonder that “management” is a little understood process, and that its practice is rife with questionable actions and faux pas?

Whether one is managing people, projects, objects or any other things, or events, certain Natural Laws apply. There is a natural sequence of occurrences that must be accomplished if one is to have exact and desired outcomes in the areas one is charged with responsibility for.

At Ability Consultants, Inc., we have isolated these components of the management process, and can train managers in the exact implementation of their sequence.

Executives and managers who know the correct Management Process Sequence get results that set them apart from their peers.

Logic

Logic & The Ability to Analyze Information Is Essential to Your Success

The ability to correctly analyze the information one receives is critical to success; yet, routinely, executives have not been trained in this essential skill.

It is a grave omission.

Executives too often fail to recognize the illogic’s contained in the faulty data they accept — with disastrous consequences.

Data analysis — the act of actually analyzing and evaluating the information one receives in order to establish its integrity or lack thereof — is an essential action if one is to have successful outcomes from the decisions one makes. Too often the information an executive receives in reports, memoranda, and professional reading is flawed; with the consequence that the decisions and actions taken thereon have unexpected, deleterious, and time–wasting repercussions.

Huge amounts of money are lost by American businesses each year due to erroneous action, bad decisions, and time wasted spinning wheels as a consequence of accepting and acting on flawed data.

As an example: if one correctly analyzes the news one receives from mass media, one finds alteration of importance, contrary facts presented as each being correct in the same context, opinion and interpretations presented as facts, omission of needed data, and falsehoods — to name but a few of the flaws.

Executives trained by Ability Consultants, Inc., in data analysis avoid these pitfalls. They know how to recognize not only inaccurate data, but the illogically flawed data which is just as dangerous to use — flaws such as: contrary “facts” that are each stated to be true, wrongly addressed targets (wrong objective, who, or what), inapplicable data asserted to be relevant, alteration of importance, incorrect sequences, missing data, omitted time factor, incorrect time factor, opinions stated and accepted as facts, invalid interpretations of what is observed stated as fact, omission of comparable data against which to evaluate (such as data on the environment into which the data-set is being applied, alternative scenarios, or comparable products); and most important of all, an omitted or incorrectly stated ideal (ideal circumstance, product, or outcome).

Executives trained In data analysis by Ability Consultants, Inc., don’t make mistakes, or bad decisions, because of faulty data. They get the data right, so their decisions are soundly based and their outcomes attain the optimum results.

Dynamic Presence

Dynamic Presence
The Key to Competence, Performance & Mastery

The dictionary defines dynamic, in part, as: relating to energy or physical force in motion; energetic, vigorous, forceful; relating to or tending toward change. Thus, there is a dramatic difference between dynamic presence and passive presence.

But most stark of all is the fact that many individuals have no presence at all.

Individuals quite frequently are not willing or able to be present — the circumstances are too trying, the task too daunting, the pressure too much, there are unpleasant sensations or moods involved; and the individual fades away. He or she loses “it”. He or she can’t find the thoughts that were there a moment ago. The control of his or her mind, abilities and clarity of thought is lost. His or her power to reach, persuade, and accomplish is diminished, even lost.

Athletes refer to it as “loss of concentration” — and with it goes the loss of their power to win.

With loss of presence goes loss of power. It is that important a subject. Any honest person who is aware of his or her own feelings innately knows this.

Ability Consultants, Inc., especially addresses this subject with proven techniques that restore the ability to be powerfully, knowingly, dynamically present.

With the power and ability to be dynamically present restored, an individual can manifest his or her thoughts, project them powerfully, persuade others, and accomplish his or her visions. The individual is alive again, reaching, interested and successful.

And for athletes, it means they can truly deliver on the performance they promised themselves.
